She has a good way with speaking to litigants, too – such that they understand what she’s saying, in my observation." ~Attorney review.

"I wanted to let you know that I have worked with
Garrick
Zielinski as a mediator in several divorce cases involving
complex financial
issues and in my opinion there is no better mediator than
Garrick in the entire
world!"
"I would like to recommend Garrick Zielinski at Divorce
Financial
Solutions (and his staff), with his wealth of financial
background and ability
to work with clients from mediating the entire divorce to
working on the
retirement division (QDRO's). We have worked with Garrick as
well on
collaborative cases and mediation or pro se cases. He is
always a wealth of
information for our clients and they are always extremely
happy that they worked
with him. His fees are fair and, if clients pay close
attention when they work
with him, they truly receive double or triple the value of the
paid service as
he also educates clients on their finances and suggests
options for them going
forward. His service to clients is always supreme. Clients
should also know that
he helps to educate judges and commissioners, who regard him
highly."

I also do co-mediations from time to time with Ken Waldron, Cathy Kriss and Marlin Kriss. They are terrific mediators. I can be reached at 608 836 7667." I have mediated over 200 custody cases. I have recently returned to Madison and I am practicing law and mediation as Leeper Law and Mediation. I am willing to travel and my fees are quite reasonable- in comparison to many. I enjoy mediation and I am looking forward to starting up again. I am teaching a graduate course on Conflict Mediation and Negotiation: Theory and Skills. I will be back by the end of April 2008. I practice a process and relational mediation as opposed to more evaluative mediation. It works for most, and works very well for some."

"I don't do high conflict mediation. Kimberly Erickson-Nichols might, as does Jim Lageunesse. There is some dispute regarding what exactly high conflict means, and I agree that most court-referred mediation cases are by their nature "high conflict." Our mediation office, Bonnie Sacia and Mary Geske, are skilled at doing this, and will offer parallel or concurrent mediation, as well as phone mediation, in cases where there is a history of either violence and/or significant power and control differentials. They have to pass an initial screening however to determine if mediation is appropriate or should be bypassed. Contact me off-list for more info." Kip Zirkel

"I wanted to let you know that I have worked with
Garrick Zielinski as a mediator in several divorce cases
involving complex financial issues and in my opinion there is
no better mediator than Garrick in the entire world!"
"I would like to recommend Garrick Zielinski at Divorce
Financial Solutions (and his staff), with his wealth of
financial background and ability to work with clients from
mediating the entire divorce to working on the retirement
division (QDRO's). We have worked with Garrick as well on
collaborative cases and mediation or pro se cases. He is
always a wealth of information for our clients and they are
always extremely happy that they worked with him. His fees are
fair and, if clients pay close attention when they work with
him, they truly receive double or triple the value of the paid
service as he also educates clients on their finances and
suggests options for them going forward. His service to
clients is always supreme. Clients should also know that he
helps to educate judges and commissioners, who regard him
highly." "I would like to propose that you add the name
of financial specialist Garrick Zielinski to your site as
mediator. He is a non-lawyer who I find invaluable on
all of my cases. Garrick is a regular financial
specialist on my Collaborative cases, and more recently I have
asked him to co-mediate my mediations with me as the financial
neutral. His knowledge and skills make all the
difference in my cases. I don’t know anyone who knows
more about retirement accounts and their interplay with taxes
and debts, and Garrick’s generosity with his time means the
clients get all the attention they need as they go through a
very stressful event. He is especially good with
unrepresented parties, who need a down to earth approach and
someone to help them move forward in a financially difficult
time. His office, like yours, offers free forms and
spreadsheets, an invaluable tool for people who are pro-active
and want to feel “in control” during divorce time when they
might otherwise feel a little out of control. I
wholeheartedly recommend Garrick as mediator and hope you will
add him to your site."

Far more evaluative than facilitative in approach." It was two lawyers and two therapist. We were far ahead of the curve and mediation as a concept in Family law was frightening. I have continued to provide mediation service which include the party and counsel, or just the parties. I have found when mediating placement issues more is accomplished when the parties are here alone and then confer with counsel at the conclusion. Depending on the desire of the parties I will either use a facilitative approach or an evaluative approach. I will at the request of counsel do early issue evaluation, where counsel present by offer their theory of the issue which is creating the impediment. I will after hearing both comment by way of opinion the strength of the argument or legal position or evidentiary problems. I bill for mediation at the rate of $250.00.If you have any other question please let me know."
