Of course when placement is shared equally there are hundreds of different filing options and this newer program will compute them all and list them in order of the most combined spendable income available. But when one parent has primary custody, there are not as many options but the Mac will compute them all and in order. The original Mac 2011 includes a new line for pre-tax payroll deductions but it doesn’t properly compute that deduction (subtracts from net income but does not adjust taxable income) and we took care of that too, if you’re inclined to use that type deduction in your illustrations. Another "maximizer" DFS added will allow you to insert the desired 50% equalization or any percentage you target and the DFS program will automatically find the exact amount of maintenance and/or support required with a single touch of the button. No more trial and error! IMPORTANT NOTE: This program automatically calculates a number of scenarios and that calculation is called a Macro. Most computers will not run Macros that are not from a trusted source. However, DFS has digitally certified that the program is from a trusted source. When a person opens this program their computer should ask them if they would like to “trust” the publisher of the document and it will list the certification information. It is suggested that everyone who uses the program download it and save it to their computer so that this prompt doesn’t pop up every time.
